1. Shaun Wright-Phillips – Kelis – Milkshake
2. John Terry – Luther Vandross – So Amazing
3. Ricardo Carvalho – Stone Roses – Fools Gold
4. Michael Essien – Jay Z – Hard Knock Life (Ghetton Anthem)
5. Paulo Ferreria – Mylo – In My Arms
6. Joe Cole – Spandau Ballet – Gold
7. Robert Huth – Marvin Gaye – Lets Get it On
8. Lenny Pidgley – Usher – You Make Me Wanna
9. Eidur Gudjohnsen – KC & Jo Jo – All My Life
10. Carlo Cudicini – Groove Armada – I See You Baby (Fatboy Slim Radio Edit)
11. Didier Drogba – Aailyah -Back & Forth
12. Petr Cech – R Kelly – I believe I can Fly
13. Frank Lampard – Lionel Richie – Stuck on You
14. Damien Duff – Christy Moore – Joxter Goes to Stuttgart
15. Hernan Crespo – Jamiroquai – Seven Days in Sunny June
16. Asier Del Horno – Kings Of Leon – California Waiting
17. Geremi – Toni Braxton – You’re Makin’ Me High
18. Lassana Diarra- Blu Cantrell – Breathe (Featuring Sean Paul)
19. Arjen Robben – Europe -The Final Countdown
20. Jose Mourinho – Bryan Adams -Run To You

The Undertones, Snow Patrol, House Of Pain….?!?

P3 Guld-nominering

Her er DR’s begrundelse for hæderen:

“Love Shop is no more… i hvert fald ikke lige for tiden.

The Motel Chronicles

They caught him with a stolen print of a cottonwood tree. He was in the parking lot cramming it into the bed of his pickup. When they asked him why, he told them he wasn’t sure why. He told them it gave him this feeling. He told them he saw himself inside this picture lying on his back underneath the cottonwood. He said he recognized the tree from an old dream and that the dream was based on a real tree he dimly remembered from a long time ago in his childhood. He remembered lying down underneath this tree and staring up through the silver leaves. He remembered voices from those leaves but he couldn’t remember what the voices said of who they belong to. He told them he was hoping the picture would bring the whole thing back.

Nick Drake (1948-1974)

George Best 1946-2005

George Best døde i London i dag. Her er lidt af hans liv:

Afskedskoncerternes dag

Netop i dag er det 29 år siden, The Band spillede deres afskedskoncert, dokumenteret i Martin Scorseses film The Last Waltz..

WHEN THE PRESIDENT TALKS TO GOD

When the president talks to God
Are the conversations brief or long?
Does he ask to rape our women’s’ rights
And send poor farm kids off to die?
Does God suggest an oil hike
When the president talks to God?

When the president talks to God
Are the consonants all hard or soft?
Is he resolute all down the line?
Is every issue black or white?
Does what God say ever change his mind
When the president talks to God?

When the president talks to God
Does he fake that drawl or merely nod?
Agree which convicts should be killed?
Where prisons should be built and filled?
Which voter fraud must be concealed
When the president talks to God?

When the president talks to God
I wonder which one plays the better cop
We should find some jobs. the ghetto’s broke
No, they’re lazy, George, I say we don’t
Just give ‘em more liquor stores and dirty coke
That’s what God recommends

When the president talks to God
Do they drink near beer and go play golf
While they pick which countries to invade
Which Muslim souls still can be saved?
I guess god just calls a spade a spade
When the president talks to God

When the president talks to God
Does he ever think that maybe he’s not?
That that voice is just inside his head
When he kneels next to the presidential bed
Does he ever smell his own bullshit
When the president talks to God?

I doubt it
I doubt it

LUA

I know that it is freezing, but I think we have to walk
I keep waving at the taxi’s, they keep turning their lights off
But Julie knows a party at some actors West side loft
Supplies are endless in the evening, by the morning they’ll be gone

When everything is lonely I can be my own best friend
I’ll get a coffee and the paper, have my own conversations
I see the sidewalk and the pigeons and my window reflection
The mask I polish in the evening, by the morning looks like shit

And I know you have a heavy heart, I can feel it when we kiss
So many men stronger then me have thrown their backs out, trying to lift it
But me I’m not a gamble, you can count on me to split
The love I sell you in the evening, by the morning won’t exist

You’re looking skinny like a model with your eyes all painted black
Just keep going to the bathroom, always say you’ll be right back
Well, it takes one to know and kid, I think you’ve got it bad
But what’s so easy in the evening, by the morning’s such a drag

I got a flask inside my pocket, we can share it on the train
And if you promise to stay conscious I will try and do the same
We may die from medication, but we sure killed all the pain
What was normal in the evening, by the morning seems insane

And I’m not sure what the trouble was, that started all of this
The reasons all have run away, but the feeling never did
It’s not something I would recommend, but it is one way to live
Cause what is simple in the moonlight, by the morning never is

And what’s so simple in the moonlight, now it’s so complicated
And what’s so simple in the moonlight, so simple in the moonlight
So simple in the moonlight…

Dead Kennedy

The Warmth of the Sun” :

What good is the dawn
That grows into day
The sunset at night
Or living this way

For I have the warmth of the sun
(Warmth of the sun)
Within me at night
(Within me at night)

The love of my life
She left me one day
I cried when she said
“I don’t feel the same way”

Still I have the warmth of the sun
(Warmth of the sun)
Within me tonight
(Within me tonight)

I’ll dreams of her arms
And though they’re not real
Just like she’s still there
The way that I feel

My love’s like the warmth of the sun
(Warmth of the sun)
It won’t ever die
(It won’t ever die)
