\nAfternoon tea in the light-a-bite – chat up the girls – they dig it!<\/p>\n

Saturday\u2019s girls work in Tesco\u2019s and Woolworths,
\nWear cheap perfume \u2019cause its all they can afford,
\nGo to discos they drink Babycham – talk to Jan – in bingo accents.<\/p>\n

Saturdays kids play one arm bandits,
\nthey never win but that\u2019s not the point is it,
\nDip in silver paper when their pints go flat,
\nHow about that – far out!<\/p>\n

Their mums and dads smoke Capstan non filters,
\nWallpaper lives \u2019cause they all die of cancer,
\nWhat goes on – what goes wrong.<\/p>\n

Save up their money for a holiday,
\nTo Selsey Bill or Bracklesham Bay,
\nThink about the future – when they\u2019ll settle down,
\nMarry the girl next door – with one on the way.<\/p>\n

These are the real creatures that time has forgot,
\nNot given a thought – its the system –
\nHate the system – what\u2019s the system?<\/p>\n

Saturdays kids live in council houses,
\nWear v-necked shirts and baggy trousers,
\nDrive Cortinas fur trimmed dash boards,
\nStains on the seats – in the back of course!<\/p>\n
