Underground<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>A spooky tone on a Fender bass<\/strong><\/em><br \/>\n<em><strong> Played less notes and left more space<\/strong><\/em><br \/>\n<em><strong> Stayed kind of still, looked kinda shy<\/strong><\/em><br \/>\n<em><strong> Kinda far away, kinda dignified<\/strong><\/em><br \/>\n<em><strong> How in the world were they making that sound<\/strong><\/em><br \/>\n<em><strong> Velvet Underground<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Now you can look at that band and wonder where<\/strong><\/em><br \/>\n<em><strong> All that sound was coming from<\/strong><\/em><br \/>\n<em><strong> With just 4 people there<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Twangy sounds of the cheapest types<\/strong><\/em><br \/>\n<em><strong> Sounds as stark as black and white stripes<\/strong><\/em><br \/>\n<em><strong> Bold and brash, sharp and rude<\/strong><\/em><br \/>\n<em><strong> Like the heats turned off<\/strong><\/em><br \/>\n<em><strong> And you&#8217;re low on food.<\/strong><\/em><br \/>\n<em><strong> How in the world were they making that sound<\/strong><\/em><br \/>\n<em><strong> Velvet Underground<\/strong><\/em><br \/>\n<em><strong> Like this<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Wild wild parties when they start to unwind<\/strong><\/em><br \/>\n<em><strong> A close encounter of the thirdest kind<\/strong><\/em><br \/>\n<em><strong> On the bandstand playing, everybody&#8217;s saying<\/strong><\/em><br \/>\n<em><strong> How in the world were they making that sound<\/strong><\/em><br Say that certain rules about modern music<\/strong><\/em><br \/>\n<em><strong> Wouldn&#8217;t apply tonight<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Twangy sounds of the cheapest kind,<\/strong><\/em><br \/>\n<em><strong> Like &#8220;Guitar sale $29.99&#8221;<\/strong><\/em><br \/>\n<em><strong> Bold and brash, stark and still<\/strong><\/em><br \/>\n<em><strong> Like the heats turned
