Selv kender jeg mest John Cale fra hans gyldne periode i Velvet Underground, samt fra nogle kulsorte, intoxikerede solokoncerter i midtfirsernes K\u00f8benhavn. Er ikke n\u00f8dvendigvis s\u00e5 vild med hans afstandsholdende, lidt uhm…teatralske stil, men tilst\u00e5r gerne hengivenhed over for mesterlige sange som den big time-orkestrale “I Keep A Close Watch”, Warhol-pladens graci\u00f8se “The Style It Takes”, men is\u00e6r nedenst\u00e5nde “Dying On The Vine”, med det s\u00e5 specielt fine flow i melodi, stemning, cut op-tekst.
