Nej, hverken floden eller den tornadoplagede delstat, men Bob Dylan’s Time Out Of Mind-sang, er her for første gang til downloadable nydelse i sin oprindelige og enkle demoform.

Her mere om ‘A Change is Gonna Come’, Dylan og Cooke
“Presidential candidate Obama might like to throw around the word change as much as possible, but Dylan is one artist who can honestly say he has both seen and inspired change, for better or worse. He’s also written about it himself on multiple occasions. In seeking to inspire change and ask hypothetical questions concerning it with his song “Blowin’ in the Wind”, Dylan inspired R&B artist Sam Cooke to write in essence, a sequel or answer to the questions asked in that song. Cooke was amazed that Dylan wrote those words when he was not only so young, but white. Cooke himself covered “Blowin'” and in turn would be insipired to write his own Civil Rights movement song, to which Dylan, in a way, would write another sequel or answer to Cooke’s song with “The Times They are a-Changin”. It would be performed two times during Dylan’s World Tour of 1978, though a back-up singer would do the vocals. Then, in 2004, Forty years after it’s original release, at an anniversary show, that was televised no less, for the legendary Apollo Theater in New York, Dylan would put his own touch on the song. Interestingly enough both his current sound and voice didn’t just work with the song, they improved the song. Even more interestingly enough, the speaker that introduced Dylan at the show was in fact the same man who introduced him as “a young Folk Singer from New York…” at the now infamous March on Washington where Martin Luther King Jr. would give his “I Have a Dream” speech and Dylan would sing “When the Ship Comes In”.”
Mange tak for link. Minder mig om den MySpace-side der er døbt ‘Modern Bob is Better than No Bob’. Her er der i øjeblikket bl.a. en liveversion af ‘A Change Gonna Come’ oppe.
