The Clash’s Mick Jones’ favoritband i ungdomsårene var engelske Mott The Hoople. Deres guitarist Mick Ralphs fylder år i dag. Netop Roy er også fornavnet på fodboldklubben Crystal Palace’s manager, det tidligere Liverpool-mareridt Roy Hodgson. Og Liverpool, de spiller i dag early kick-off i en altid svær udekamp i Sydlondon mod netop Crystal Palace. Sådan hænger tingene sammen.
