Som oftest er velgørende compilation-albums en lidelse at lytte på, men her kommer, hvad kun kan blive en heftig undtagelse. 16. februar udsender 4AD samlingespladen Dark Was The Night, en dbl-CD, hvis profit skal gå til kampen mod AIDS. Sammensat af brødrene Dessner fra New York City-bandet The National, er listen over de medvirkende decideret mundvandsfremkaldende – tjek lige hvad der bydes på i den gode sags tjeneste:

  2. Vashti Bunyan har altså en fantastisk stemme. Albummet Just Another Diamond Day er da et lille mesterværk. Swallow song giver mig næsten gåsehud.

    Isobell Campbell er vist inspireret af Vashti Bunyan. Jeg kommer i hvert fald til at tænke på hende, når jeg hører VB.
