Schhh….vær stille og hør voksne mænd græde af glæde! Der er smuk poetic justice i at Fowler, i den grad indbegrebet af rød Liverpool-sjæl, kommer hjem, mens Houllier/Thompson, mændene der sendte ham bort, nu selv er udstødt.

Jeg tror desværre også at Fowler har toppet, men skal altid være velkommen hjem. Hans synderegister er i hvert fald utroligt underholdende. Jeg vidste ikke, at Houllier s sin tid forsøgt at forklare “the cocaine incident” med at Fowler legede en ko der græssede 🙂

Tja det er vel et vink med en vognstang til Cisse og nok især Nando om at få rettet kanonen ind. Gerrard kan jo ikke blive ved med at skulle lave alle målene. Rafa kunne ganske enkelt ikke sige nej til at få en Anfieldlegende tilbage ganske gratis, og det virker som en klog beslutning. Rafa har for længst bevist at han er en dygtig træner for klubben. Med Fowler viser han også en forståelse og respekt for klubbens lange historie. Jeg tror bestemt ikke han er så langt fra spilletid, de mange kampe i årets program taget i betragtning. Herfra skal der lyde et stort held og lykke til ham. Han kan jo få Agger til at hjælpe sig hvis han ikke forstår de danske gloser her på siden !
Sådan som angrebet (ikke) kører lige nu, er der brug for hvilkensomhelst mulig hjælp udefra. Og Fowler kommer på en fri transfer, så LFC kan ikke miste noget på den hjemkomst, uanset hvordan det så går. Plus….tænk lige på det kæmpe moralske boost det er for Liverpool, at Fowler, selveste GOD. er tilbage på Anfield. Det er gigastort for klubben og os der følger den!
Following the dramatic return to Anfield of Robbie Fowler, Liverpoolfc.tv recall a past interview with the Anfield legend in which he looks back on his glorious first spell with the Reds.
Liverpoolfc.tv: Let’s take you back to your Liverpool debut, that must hold special memories for you?
Robbie Fowler: It was against Fulham at Craven Cottage and we won 3-1. I had a hand in the first two goals then the third goal Don Hutchison played the ball in. I was at the back post and volleyed it in. It was special. I was a young lad just into the squad and Graeme Souness gave me my chance.
Who was the best player you ever played with at Liverpool?
All of them, I couldn’t single anyone out. They are all fantastic players and it’s hard to single out one player.
How about your best match?
For Liverpool probably the Charlton game in 2002 when I scored an overhead kick and we got into the Champions League.
Who was your best mate at Liverpool?
All the younger lads as I’m not that old myself! I was close to everyone but probably the likes of Jamie Carragher, Steven Gerrard, Danny Murphy, Nick Barmby and Jamie Redknapp I was most closer to.
Pick out your most memorable moment at Liverpool?
The most memorable moment for me was the tour around the city when we won the treble. I don’t think you can describe it, it was incredible and it will live with me forever. The amount of people that came out to see us was, frightening.
Could you pick your top five goals?
Top five goals would be Brann Bergen, the first leg in Norway, the UEFA Cup Final against Alaves for what it meant. The overhead kick at Charlton for what that meant, the diving header against Aston Villa in the FA Cup semi-final. I could go on all day here! The free-kick against Man U at Anfield, the one against Schmeichel in Cantona’s comeback at Old Trafford. A goal against Leeds at Elland Road, not the best goal as it was a tap in but it was my first goal for Liverpool at Elland Road. I loved scoring against Everton too!
You said your favourite moment was the homecoming, what was the worst moment?
If I could change anything it would be my last game for Liverpool. I got brought off at half against Sunderland and we were winning 1-0. We had had a man sent-off and for me there’s no words I can describe it. It was horrible not being able to say good-bye to the fans, and if there was one thing I could change it would be that more than anything else. It was even worse than losing the FA Cup to Man U, being left out of the starting line-up for cup finals and the cream suits!
Har svært ved at se hvad de skal bruge ham til. Med mindre han får en monster revival og ikke blir skadet er han vel bare en 3.-4- udskifter, en ny Mellor.
